The Zurich-based band EMZYG was founded in 2019 by musicians Gianna Bollinger, Seraina Lutta and Sersha Rafferty. In 2020, Bianca and Lara Perez joined EMZYG, forming a quintet that has since been making waves in the Zurich music scene.EMZYG's musical journey is marked by a diverse range of influences and styles. Their songs traverse the realms of kraut rock and psychedelic rock while often incorporating elements of classic rock-pop and idiosyncratic alternative indie. They draw inspiration from artists and bands like Nice Bisquit, Ashinoa, Wolf Alice, and CAN. As a musical project, EMZYG is driven by various creative impulses and focuses.
